This role requires extensive experience in insurance / reinsurance litigation and a deep understanding of insurance law. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a broad range of complex insurance litigation cases, including property, casualty, and professional liability cases. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of skilled attorneys, engage with high-profile clients, and make a real impact in the industry.Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of complex insurance litigation cases from inception through to resolution. Conduct comprehensive and effective deposition and discovery. Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with other attorneys and clients. Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and settlement agreements. Represent clients in court, arbitration, mediation, and administrative proceedings. Provide sound legal advice to clients on various insurance matters. Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends in insurance litigation. Collaborate effectively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in NY or DC. Minimum of 8 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance litigation. Proven expertise in deposition and discovery. Proficient in legal research and writing. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to provide sound legal advice to clients. High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas. Proven track record of courtroom success.
