This role involves close coordination with assistant project managers, field engineers, skilled craft workers, and subcontractors to deliver exceptional results. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a passion for construction and a track record of managing complex projects.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject Oversight: Manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project blueprints, specifications, and schedules.Safety Leadership: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing strict safety protocols and promoting a culture of zero accidents.Coordination: Collaborate with owners, design teams, and subcontractors to prioritize and coordinate work, ensuring seamless project execution.Budget and Schedule Management: Monitor project progress to ensure completion within budget and on time, addressing any issues promptly.Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and complies with all applicable codes and regulations.Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to on-site personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Problem Solving: Identify and resolve critical issues efficiently, implementing innovative solutions to keep projects on track.QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 2 years in a superintendent roleEducation: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.Skills: Strong knowledge of construction techniques, scheduling, and cost control. Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) is a plus.Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification required; additional certifications (e.g., CHST) preferred.Attributes: Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
