Superintendent PositionAs a valuable member of our team as a Superintendent, you will be responsible for upholding Eby's high standards for safety, quality, productivity, and on-time project completion. Our superintendents are chosen for their ability to initiate high-quality planning, constantly teaching, implementing, and assuring a high degree of effectiveness in our work. They are charged with assuring that our customer expectations are met while maintaining a superior level of integrity and highly effective, fair treatment of every employee and customer representative.Essential Functions:Reliable and punctual attendancePlan, schedule, and coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlinesPrepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reportsInterpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clientsDirect and supervise craft employees and subcontractorsInvestigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followedImplement new or modified plans in response to delays, bad weather, or construction site emergenciesDetermine labor requirements for dispatching workers to construction site(s)Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes or other regulationsBenefits:Health, dental and vision insuranceLife Insurance401(k) with company matchPaid Time Off (PTO)Assigned company truckCompany-paid cell phoneVolunteer Time Off (VTO)6 Paid Annual HolidaysDiscounted memberships to YMCA & ZooAnnual wage increasesLocation: Wichita, KSSchedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PMPosition Requirements:To succeed as a superintendent, an individual must be able to take direction and work with others as a team; follow company safety policies and participate in safety training programs; possess the ability to manage construction activities, develop operating strategies, plans and procedures, and effectively train employees on environmental awareness, conservation, or safety topics. A desirable superintendent will have knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in various projects.
