We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, conducting patient assessments, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. If you are passionate about dental health and have excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you.
Our office is open Mondays & Wednesdays, 7 AM to 4 PM and Tuesdays & Thursdays, 7 AM to 5 PM. No evenings, no weekends and parking included
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling & root planing, and polishing
- Conduct patient assessments to identify oral health conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Take dental x-rays as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care
- Administer local anesthesia (not required if you do not have a permit)
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix Ascend (will train if unfamiliar)
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
Requirements:
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Proficiency in performing patient assessments, including taking vital signs
- Knowledge of dental office procedures
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic technique
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well within a team environment
