Waracle is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join us on a contract basis (Outside IR35). This is a hybrid role working from any of our offices in the UK (Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh or London). We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer with a passion for both front-end and back-end development to join our team. In this role, you will help design, develop, and maintain web applications using NextJS, React, NodeJS, and NestJS. You’ll collaborate with a team to deliver effective digital solutions. As a Full Stack Developer your duties will include:
Assist in designing and developing full-stack applications using NextJS, Typescript, React, NodeJS, and NestJS.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn project requirements into technical tasks.
Build reusable components and contribute to front-end and back-end development.
Develop RESTful APIs and integrate front-end interfaces with server-side logic.
Ensure applications perform well and are scalable for future growth.
Write clean, maintainable code and follow best practices.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Troubleshoot and fix bugs in production environments.
Implement basic security measures such as authentication and authorization.
Requirements Experience with NextJS and React for building modern web applications.
Knowledge of Typescript for writing clean, type-safe code.
Familiar with state management tools like Redux or Context API.
Experience with NodeJS and NestJS for backend development and API creation.
Familiar with database technologies like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and testing practices.
Some knowledge of cloud-based deployment and microservices is a plus.
