What You Will Do:
Raytheon, an RTX business, is looking for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise to serve as Lead Systems Engineer (LSE) accountable for the technical performance and integration on a forthcoming program. The LSE will serve as the principal arbiter of the system's requirements and performance, be responsible for maturing concepts into an optimal solution balancing performance against objectives and constraints and define the system's architecture and functional and design allocations.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Prior experience with defining and allocating requirements baseline
- Customer coordination experience, as well as possess the ability to coordinate and define system and subsystem interfaces with appropriate stakeholders
- Written, verbal and presentation skills; able to brief both Raytheon senior leadership and the customer on a proposed solution
Qualifications We Prefer
- Satellite ground system development experience
- Experience with large-scale Agile Software development, Systems Modeling Language (SysML), and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes and tools
- Ability to shape customer acquisition strategy through collaborative engagements intended to define future potential system capability
- Ability to assess, recommend, and help establish proposal vision and strategy for new developments
- Ability to work independently and provide technical direction to team members

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
