Principal Electrical Engineer

Position: Principal Electrical Engineer (Medical Device)Location: Greater Boston/Southern New Hampshire (on-site Tues-Fri; remote Mon & Fri) *Relocation assistance not available*Compensation: $140-160K salary, bonus plus benefits*No visa sponsorship or transfersThe Principal Electrical Engineer is a self-starter who can play a key contributor role within our hardware development team. In this role you will plan, analyze and implement the designs and improvements to the electrical systems in products to achieve product performance goals and business objectives.Requirements:BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering7+ years of hands-on experience as an electrical design engineer on product developmentDirect experience developing within a regulated environment (Medical, Aerospace, Military); Medical Device preferredExperience with CAD tools including schematic capture and PCB designFamiliarity with regulations governing electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility and the activities necessary to achieve IEC 60601 certificationExperience with communication interfaces, including I2C, SPI, UART, Wi-Fi, BluetoothExperience with controls for Stepper and/or BLDC motors, actuators, sensors, and dataFamiliarity with circuit simulation tools, such as PSpiceExperience with software tools including ORCAD Capture and Allegro PCBResponsibilities:Design and develop analog, digital, and mixed signal, and power circuitsPrototype, debug, troubleshoot, and rework while maintaining quality technical documentation.Build and test prototypes to verify design functionWork with both internal and external resources during design, prototyping, and transfer to manufacturing activitiesSupport verification and validation activities for the systemPerform and document failure analysis of returned productPlease visit our careers page to see more job opportunities.
