Systems Engineering and Modeling Lead

ACTIVE TS CLEARANCE WITH SCI ELIGIBILITY REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION

As the Systems Engineering and Modeling Engineer Lead, you will be responsible for the capture of all program activities into industry standard system engineering documents. This includes requirement, system block structures, and concept of operations component. You will also be responsible for creating and executing network Modeling and Simulation (M&S) scenarios to provide the metrics needed to determine of proposal Information Technology (IT) system meet requirement.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the creation of the Systems Engineering (SE) environment for the program.
  • Ensures the SE environment provides the required configuration management.
  • Provides oversight and work product for the capture of the architecture and concept of operations of multiple Information IT systems into Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) artifacts.
  • Ensures the production of required SE views (e.g., DoDAF).
  • Responsible for the development of M&S models to determine the performance of existing and future architectures in support of stakeholder and mission partners requirements and needs.
  • Develops a range of architecture materials, implementation status, and gap analysis reports in support of the Chief Architect.
Education, Experience, and Abilities:
  • 10 years Department of Defense or Intelligence Community experience preferred.
  • 5 years of experience of the global and domestic information technology and communications commercial market.
  • 10 years of Systems Engineering for complete IT systems that include network, hybrid Cloud systems, and applications.
  • 10 years of experience developing and using M&S software.
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering.
  • Experience in liaison and outreach activities to stakeholders, executive management, and with mission-specific communities and user-groups.
  • Successful experience leading small, highly skilled teams in meeting project goals and timeline.
  • Experience with installation, configuration, problem resolution and maintenance of all network resources, systems, and other IT-related technologies.
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering.
  • Successful experience leading small, highly skilled teams in meeting project goals and timelines.
  • Bachelor's Degree. Graduate degree preferred.
  • TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
