Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, dynamic professional Philanthropic Operations Manager to join our team The Philanthropic Operations Manager will contribute to the volunteer and fundraising efforts to support one of the largest and most effective nonprofits in the commonwealth. This individual will be responsible for building and maintaining the mid-level donor base. The top three priorities are to increase and maintain four-figure donors, to diversify regional donation efforts, and support volunteer leadership efforts. Essential Duties and Tasks:

  • Develop new and/or refine existing fundraising processes to achieve a targeted goal of securing four-figure and higher donations state-wide, supporting organizational goals.
  • Regularly travel across commonwealth to meet with prospective donors which include, but not limited to, previous donors, volunteers, staff, vendors, partners, customers, and former clients.
  • Collaborate closely with the Foundation and Corporate Giving Manager and Volunteer Operations Manager to coordinate and align departmental goals and strategies.
  • Leverage and continuously audit our donor and volunteer management platform, Salesforce, by analyzing moves in the data to uncover and highlight new opportunities for the development and volunteer team
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
  • High School degree required.
  • Must have three (3) years of experience in nonprofits.
  • Must have experience in managing a CRM, ideally Salesforce.
  • Must demonstrate a track record of personally cultivating, soliciting and securing gifts, memberships or grants of $5K and above.
  • Must be excited to travel across the commonwealth, occasionally overnight
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills to effectively engage high-value donors and articulate data-driven insights.
  • Must have experience with a CRM (customer relationship management) system, preferably, Salesforce NPSP model or a strong willingness and aptitude to learn the donor management platform.
Physical Demands:
  • This job may have physical requirements that are considered light work. Physical demand requirements are more than those for sedentary work. Sedentary work involves sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity. Light work includes lifting up to 20lbs occasionally and/or up to 10lbs frequently.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time, occasionally overnight. This position is a state-wide role.
  • Must be in-office at least two days a week.
