Job Description

Applications are invited for an online/remote part-time tutor for the School of Medical Imaging & Therapeutics, Nuclear Medicine Technology Program. 

  • Assist students on/with course work in Nuclear Medicine Technology, including procedures, nuclear cardiology, radiation physics and instrumentation, PET, radiopharmacy, and radiation sciences and regulations. 
  • Offer tutoring session availability in an online/virtual format
  • Provide work for students to do after the tutoring session to check for understanding
  • Collaborate with the applicable course instructor to determine plan of action for specific student
  • Provide feedback to student specific to progression in subject matter
  • Provide feedback to the program director as to student progress
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor
Requirements

Required:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine TechnologyMinimum of two years of experience in Nuclear Medicine Technology as a technologist or a researcherCommitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student successDemonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environmentExcellent organizational and communication skillsMust be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals)

Desired:

  • Master’s Degree in a health-related profession (Health Sciences, MHA, MBA, or the like)
