Construction Laborer
Outside The Box, LLC

We are a busy construction firm with an immediate need for a dedicated Construction Laborer to join our team. Laborer needed for December and January - a short term project.   Position can be part-time and/or full-time, depending on availability and project needs.

Position Summary:In this Laborer position, you will perform full demolition on the project site.  Including but not limited to, loading/unloading heavy materials, removing hazards, cleaning the site, carrying, digging and other physical labor.  Laborer must be able to follow directions from supervisors and other skilled tradesmen. To do well in this role you should be physically fit, have reliable transportation to and form project site, be dependable, timely and hardworking. Essential Functions:
  • Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
  • Help equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary.
  • Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
  • Load or unload construction materials.
  • Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding.
  • Remove, fill, or compact earth.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Assist craft workers.
  • Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary.
  • Perform site clean-up.
  • Willingness to learn how to properly use electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws,           hammers, rulers etc.).
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.
  • Good knowledge of English.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma.
  • Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
  • Ability to work in all weather.
  • Workers must be punctual and reliable.
  • Must have experience as a general laborer in the construction industry.
  • Good understanding of basic math.
  • Good physical condition and endurance.
 Required Experience and Education:Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred, applicants must be at least 18 years of age.Experience: Related construction experience preferred
Computer Skills: Web-based timesheet application
Certificates & Licenses: Clean driving record

Work Environment: Various construction projects using a variety of construction systems, in different environments. Work will consist of, but not be limited to general and specialized construction including new construction, interior/exterior renovations/rehabilitations, tenant improvements and system upgrades. Other Physical Requirements: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be worn as part of the safety precautions, when visiting construction sites. Work may involve climbing to elevated locations, going into trenches, confined spaces, environments with extreme temperatures, irregular walking surfaces, and a wide range of potential construction hazards.
