Production Press Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership: Direct the day-to-day activities of the Ink, Mounting, and Press departments, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently.
  • Efficiency and Improvement: Evaluate current production practices to identify improvement opportunities in net effective rates and efficiency. Develop and implement strategies to optimize operations and reduce downtime.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold and enhance quality standards throughout the production process, from ink formulation to the final press output. Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure product excellence.
  • Waste Reduction: Conduct regular reviews of waste generation within the departments. Initiate and apply effective waste reduction methods to minimize environmental impact and operational costs.
  • Team Management: Lead, develop, and nurture a team capable of achieving high performance. Manage HR aspects including hiring, training, performance reviews, and resolving conflicts.
  • Strategic Planning: Craft a detailed improvement plan with clear, actionable steps aimed at achieving specified goals. Monitor progress diligently, providing updates and adjusting tactics as needed to meet deadlines.
 Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Production Manager or similar role 5+ years required.
  • Knowledge of Redzone is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical/technical knowledge.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry-specific regulatory and safety standards.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • SQF, OSHA, and GMP knowledge is a must.
  • Computer savvy.
  • Forklift certification is a plus – not required.
  • SQF certification is a plus – not required.
  • OSHA certification is a plus – not required.
  • Spanish required.
