The E-Rate Account Manager is responsible for growing the E-Rate business, a federally funded discount program for schools that are dedicated to ensuring every school in America can offer its students internet connectivity in a very cost-effective way. The E-Rate Account Manager is a specialist in the program and ensures growth through data mining, lead generation, and conducting proactive cold calls with Account Managers to active and inactive customers. The E-Rate Account Manager, as subject matter expert, completes all E-Rate order entry, ensures order and program compliancy, and troubleshoots any order that may get stuck somewhere along the process, and takes corrective action. The E-Rate Account Manager conducts E-Rate needs assessments for customers and provides viable technology solutions through the utilization of internal and external resources. The E-Rate Account Manager ensures the growth of the E-Rate business in line with company sales goals and established position metrics.

Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience, along with a minimum of 2 years work experience. Required competencies: 
  • Basic computer knowledge with the ability to operate a keyboard for data entry. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to create a document or simple spreadsheet.
  • Adept at proactively finding business opportunities within the existing customer base.
  • Understanding inside sales strategies and upselling for upgrades and other add-on products.
  • Advanced knowledge of Business Development with the ability to create new lines of business.
  • Creative with the ability to develop original solutions to problems.
  • Adaptable with the ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities.
  • Quick study with the ability to master a situation or learn new things with minimum direction or training.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
