A 5-star resort seeks an energetic, team-oriented, positive, and proactive full-time Housekeeper to join their housekeeping team to maintain their primary residence and additional properties. The ideal candidate can easily take direction and works collaboratively as a team while being a self-starter who takes initiative to ensure the ultimate comfort, cleanliness, and organization. This candidate should be adaptable in their approach to housekeeping, mindful of guest preferences, reliable, service-oriented, have a keen eye for detail, and a deep passion for organization and cleanliness. The Housekeeper should always be looking for ways to improve service standards and ensure a positive experience. Additional responsibility includes assisting with food and beverage service daily and for special events. This position consists of a five-day flex schedule over seven days of service with rotating weekends and flexibility to work longer hours as needed. Additionally, the Housekeeper will report directly to the Manager and must be comfortable working alongside other Housekeepers. If needed, relocation and staff housing are provided. $30 an hour plus benefits and generous PTO

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
  • General housekeeping, deep cleaning, organizing, and upkeep including seasonal and scheduled tasks 
  • Ability to perform museum-quality cleaning with proficiency in special surfaces (wood, glass, leather, antiques, silver, etc.) 
  • Monitor both indoor and outdoor space (cleaning all surfaces, removing cobwebs, and sweeping front stoop and outdoor gathering areas) 
  • Help complete laundry including hand washing, dry cleaning, minor repairs, ironing clothes, managing wardrobes 
  • Change linens and gather used linens such as sheets or towels for laundering 
  • Sorting mail and handling deliveries 
  • Drink service and food service 
  • Assist in the kitchen, as needed, with dishes and kitchen cleaning 
  • Light meal prep – washing / cutting fruits, vegetables, etc.  
  • Notify House Manager on any damages or need for repair/replacement 
  • Superior organization skills applied to all aspects of the job and a willingness to go above and beyond 
  • Management and organization of all closets, pantries, and storage areas 
  • Assist with special projects and events as needed including guest relations, greeting, and hospitality service (both set up and break down as well) 
  • Adhere to the established standard of conduct and rules, procedures, and policies 
  • Additional Housekeeper responsibilities and duties as needed and requested by the family

Requirements:  
  • Strong command of English language; exceptional communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Excellent references required from both current and previous employers 
  • Minimum 1+ years housekeeping, service or hospitality experience working in a similar position(s) with a strong PREFERENCE for past yacht steward experience 
  • Poised and professional in both mindset and manner; hospitality-oriented  
  • Always work with the utmost discretion and confidentiality, upholding standards/procedures at all times 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and dedication to responsibilities 
  • Above and beyond attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team 
  • Demonstrate high-level emotional intelligence: willing and able to take direction well 
  • Thorough knowledge of detailed household cleaning, cleaning supplies, organization, laundry, food service, and wardrobe maintenance 
  • Ability to work independently and successfully with other staff members 
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull and pull required load (approximately 30 lbs.) and stamina to work long periods of time 
  • Comfortable and willing to work in a home with pets and children 
  • Flexibility in scheduling with the willingness to work additional hours as needed  
  • Valid Driver’s License and car REQUIRED; confident driver with a clean driving record 
  • Authorized to work within the United States
