Position Summary:

Advancia Technologies, LLC (a federal government contractor) is seeking qualified Shift Lead Housekeeper (Day Shift) who is responsible for providing leadership and overseeing the daily tasks and duties of the housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness and efficiency while maintaining the highest level of consistent quality assurance standards and safety.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning exam rooms, offices, bathrooms, and public areas, including dusting, floor cleaning, and washing windows/mirrors
  • Cleaning common areas, hallways, corridors, floors, elevators, and stairwells
  • Terminal cleaning of exam rooms (Disinfecting surfaces, fixtures and equipment, using appropriate cleaning agents, and following infection control protocols)
  • Restock restroom supplies and other consumables
  • Maintaining an infection-free environment throughout the hospital
  • Utilizing approved cleaning solutions for proper disinfection
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, residents, and healthcare staff
  • Respond to emergencies in relation to cleaning hospital environment
  • Strip, scrub, seal, and wax floors
  • Empty, sanitize, and reline trash containers
  • Dust furniture as well as equipment
  • Use various types of cleaning equipment, like vacuum cleaners, washing machines, etc.
  • Document the procedure involved in the disposal of hospital waste products and ensure that the right procedure in line with the standard practice of the hospital is followed.
  • May be required to wipeout blood or other bodily fluids and disinfect the area of contact

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) 
  • At least one (1) year experience in hospital housekeeping services within the last three (3) years
  • Ability to pass background checks by various Federal Agencies (e.g., DOD, DHS, FAA, etc.) to obtain security access badges
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must pass a pre-employment background test
  • Must be fully vaccinated


Preferred Qualifications:  
  • Possess one or more of the following: 
    • Certified member of the International Executive Housekeeper’s Association (IEHA) 
    • Current member of the American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services of the American Hospital Association
    • Successfully completed a publicly offered housekeeper’s course certified by the IEHA, or
    • Successful completion of a comparable formal Executive Housekeeper’s Course emphasizing hospital disinfection and independently controlled by an in-service management training program
  • OSHA 10 Training Certificate
  • OSHA 30 Training Certificate 
  • Proficiency in languages other than English, especially Spanish
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Working Environment:
  • The work environment characteristics described in this job description are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
  • Work is typically performed in an indoor environment, in a medical/clinic setting
  • Scheduled workweek: will include nights and weekends

Physical Demands (including but not limited to):
  • Duties may include standing for long periods of time with frequent reaching, sitting, walking, twisting, stooping, bending, kneeling, and squatting.  
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull up to 50 lbs. 
  • Employee may be required to pass a functional capacity test for this position
