Qualifications: 
  • Must like to work with people. 
  • Must always conduct every aspect of the job in an ethical manner. 
  • A service advisor plays a crucial role in the automotive industry by acting as a liaison between customers and the auto shop. 

Some common responsibilities of a service advisor include:
  • Greeting customers and assessing their vehicle's service needs.
  • Providing recommendations for necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Estimating costs for services and obtaining customer approval.
  • Scheduling service appointments and coordinating with the service department.
  • Keeping customers informed of the status of their vehicle and any delays.
  • Explaining the work performed and answering any questions or concerns.
  • Upselling additional services or products that may benefit the customer.
  • Handling customer complaints and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and service history.
  • Collaborating with the service team to ensure efficient and timely service delivery.

A successful service advisor should have excellent communication and customer service skills. Additionally, organizational abilities and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.
