Position Title:  TLC Medical Assistant Duties
  • Travels when necessary to meet the staffing needs of the areas in which we have offices.
  • Performs general office and clerical functions.
  • Interacts with the public by phone, or in-office contact, or homes.
  • Initiates the opening and closing of the office during business hours.
  • Communicates with patients/residents/clients and family members providing warm and friendly greeting and an approachable attitude to families, visitors, patients/residents/clients and responds to expressed concerns while displaying a helpful, caring demeanor.
  • Assist in scheduling as assigned.
  • Assists specimen collection, e.g. phlebotomy.
  • Assists with vital signs.
  • Assist with the medical office and home patient visit process.
  • Assists with collection of billing information and data entry.
  • Performs data entry.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
 Education and Work Experience:
  • Degree in Medical Assisting required.
  • Experience preferred.
  • Office Setting/ Scheduling experience required.
  • Strong computer skills in excel, word, billing software.
  • Data entry experience, required.
 Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be proficient in computer software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrates time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates highly effective communication skills orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work with little supervision.
