Playground Staff

Playground Staff responsibilities include:
- Monitor, supervise, and assist in student safety during outdoor student activities (Recess, Lunch).
- Supervise students during breakfast, recess and lunch time, and students on the school grounds in general.
- encourage and remind students of acceptable behavior.
- ensure students remain in properly assigned areas.
- ensure students keep the areas of activities clean and organized.
- report any unsafe conditions or equipment on the playground or any other areas as deemed necessary to the playground supervisor.
- report all accidents or injuries to proper authority and complete appropriate form(s).
- provide first-aid assistance for accidents.
- instruct and monitor students in their proper conduct on the playground areas and when participating in student games.
- Knowledge of basic: school safety rules, principles of first aid, and understanding of child growth; development, and attitudes.
- maintain acceptable standards of behavior among students in the playground.
- Work cooperatively with playground team.
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Assist in assignments from leadership team.
Qualifications:
- Desire to work with students grades TK-8th.
- Ability to adapt to school requirements and needs.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
