Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and positive experience for patients from their initial contact through follow-up care. The Patient Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, helping them navigate their healthcare journey with our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Registration:
- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist patients with completing necessary registration forms and documents.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient information in the system.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Manage appointment calendars to optimize efficiency and minimize wait times.
- Coordinate any necessary pre-appointment instructions with patients.
- Provide patients with clear information about their treatments, procedures, and any preor post-care instructions.
- Answer patient inquiries and address concerns promptly and accurately.
- Facilitate communication between patients and clinical staff as needed.
- Assist patients with check-in and check-out processes.
- Ensure patients understand their care plans and follow-up instructions.
- Provide support and reassurance to patients and their families throughout their visit.
- Maintain and update patient records with accurate and timely information.
- Handle patient paperwork and ensure it is properly filed and organized.
- Prepare and distribute patient-related documentation as needed.
- Monitor patient satisfaction and gather feedback to improve service quality.
- Identify and address any issues or areas for improvement in patient care processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
