Responsibilities
- Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Engage with Directors of Transportation and Operations, set direction and priorities for route optimization activities across assigned geographical areas.
- End of month financial reporting including P&L revenue and expense analysis.
- Assemble lane reports, vendor spend, and revenue based on daily and weekly performance.
- Assist in developing metrics to accurately measure effectiveness and improvement of route planning and optimization.
- Address data discrepancies or deviations by working directly with assorted cross-functional teams to implement required corrections.
- Gain subject matter expert level understanding for all routing software.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for data integrity and review processes.
- Develop and maintain master Route Service Plan for each location assigned to geographical territory.
- Collaborate with multiple members of leadership to obtain various streams of data.
- Performs other duties and tasks, as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelors in Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, especially using large datasets.
- Experience building data visualizations hosted on web-based platforms e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker.
- Familiarity with Dynamic Routing and other best in class routing/transportation practices, methods, and tools.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and/or google spreadsheets required
- Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively
- Efficient time management skills
- Detailed oriented
