Customer Service - Window Teller – Harris County Tax Office

Position Details of the Customer Service - Window Tellers:
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:45 PM, must be able to work on weekends, dependent upon business needs.  May be required to travel to multiple branches to provide support and/or for training purposes. 
  • Starting Pay: $15 per hour, with weekly pay
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance offered
  • Position Type: Temp-to-Hire 

Key Responsibilities of the Customer Service - Window Tellers:
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to customers, assisting with vehicle registrations, permits, and general inquiries
  • Accurately handle cash transactions and ensure daily balancing of cash drawers
  • Assist and retain the knowledge of various forms, necessary documentation and procedures to accurately perform transactions
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times, representing the Harris County Tax Office with integrity and commitment
  • Assist in generating daily reports to support office operations

Qualifications of the Customer Service - Window Tellers:
  • Minimum of 6 months of recent experience in cash handling and data entry (within the last 2 years)
  • Ability to type at least 30 words per minute and demonstrate proficiency in basic math
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and excellent communication skills
