Job Title: Roofer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Roofer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on both residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of roofing materials, codes, and safety procedures, as well as experience working with a variety of roofing equipment and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain roofs, including shingles, tiles, and other materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents
  • Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific roof dimensions
  • Install and secure roofing materials using a variety of tools, such as hammers, nail guns, and drills
  • Apply waterproof coatings and other sealants to roofs to prevent leaks
  • Inspect roofs for damage and wear, and make necessary repairs
  • Follow all roofing codes, regulations, and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with other trades to coordinate installations and repairs

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a roofing apprenticeship program or relevant vocational training
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a roofer
  • Knowledge of roofing materials, codes, and safety procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and climb ladders
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
