Dental Front Office - Receptionist

We’re looking for a front office receptionist to join our family-owned dental practice in Seattle. This is an entry-level full-time position (4-5 days per week.) No prior dental experience is required, but customer service and basic computer skills are essential. This position will be especially helpful to someone who would like a career in dental front office management and needs a starting point. You will be working with an experienced office manager who will be training and mentoring you on the job.

We are a patient-centric practice which is reflected in the genuine warmth our front office staff shows when greeting patients to the personalized and attentive service that our clinical staff displays during patient care. As practice owners, the same approach guides our interactions with our team; we value our staff, and we aim to provide a work environment that is flexible and supportive, with room to grow and thrive.

The core work responsibilities of a front office receptionist include greeting patients, patient sign-in and walk-outs, answering phones and email messages, following up with patients and specialists, scheduling appointments, presenting simple treatment plans, and verifying insurance coverage.

Hours and benefits:
  • We are open Monday through Friday with patient hours from 8:00 – 4:00.
  • Front office hours start at 7:30 PM and typically end at 4:30 - 5 PM.

We value our team and offer a variety of benefits. Paid time off includes sick time, vacation time, holidays, and incentive days; we also provide paid parking and in-house dental services. Our practice is conveniently located a few blocks from the Capitol Hill light rail station and near several bus lines; we can cover ORCA fares in lieu of parking for staff who prefer to commute by transit. Additionally, full-time employees (working 30+ hours per week) are eligible to join our health and vision insurance plan.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience interacting with patients or customers in a service-focused position.
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships in a team-focused practice that is dedicated to supporting patient health.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or customer service job is desirable.
