Medical Assistant / Medical Scribe

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, positive Medical Assistant  with Scribe experience to join our team. The candidate is a vital member of our clinical team who not only assists physicians with exams but also operates their EMR system. 

 Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepares  medical record documentation/charts for physician(s).
  • Enters the patient room with the physician during patient visits to  assist  and transcribe medical record documentation utilizing electronic medical record applications.
  • Assist physician as needed with procedures and exams
  • Assist with rooming the patients and make sure the exam rooms are well supplied and clean.
  • Updates patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient' chart.
  • Prepares  all documentation for physicians to review and approve.
  • Review lab results and screening tests results.
  • Complies  medical facility policies, including those relating to HIPAA.
  • Performs other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assigned.

Additional Job Responsibilities may include:
  • Send prescriptions 
  • Return patient calls 
  • Write orders for labs, surgeries, and imaging as needed
  • Work with other office departments as needed

  • Verbal Communication

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
  • Medical Assisting certification
  • Bachelor’s degree with nursing career track preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy a plus
  • Skilled in operating various medical record software  
  • A minimum of 60 WPM preferred
