Reports To:  Engineering Manager.

The Applications Engineer will create component drawings & part instructions from customer-supplied drawings for use in our manufacturing process. Also, create drawings for the Purchasing Department as required. Attention to detail and customer specifications. an understanding and the ability to translate assembly drawings and layouts. As a member of the Engineering Department, interpersonal communications are critical for working as a member of the team.

Requirements:
  • Convert customer designs into FAB drawings.
  • 3D modeling background
  • ERP software experience is not required but preferred.
  • Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills to build good working relationships within the company.
  • Experience in three-dimensional design technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to be accurate and consistent with details.
  • Skill in visualizing and interpreting requirements.
  • Organization skills for maintaining product flow.
  • 3D modeling background required; SolidWorks preferred.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Prepare Quotes & drawings per Customer Specifications. Review the project and make sure the expectations are understood. Prepare drawing details for purchasing all subcontracted components.
  • Create details from layouts or create assembly drawings for components as required for production.
  • Assist in creating Routings and drawings as required. drawings have revision levels and specified tolerances that match customer requirements.
  • Make corrections on drawings as directed by the Quality department - revision levels for all pictures (old or new).
  • Work on special engineering projects as directed by the Manager.
