Vice President of Information Technology

Position Summary:
The Vice President of Information Technology is responsible for managing the company’s technology department and operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support services company-wide. The VP will be responsible for overseeing the technology function in a collaborative and service-minded manner in support of our growing network of premier golf and country clubs. He/she will lead the technology team with a mindset of driving continuous improvement throughout the organization. The VP will serve as a lead business partner to develop, plan, and implement a systems and data strategy that meets the company’s operational needs while maintaining cost discipline and information security. He/she will also partner closely with critical external vendors including our ERP provider and outsourced IT support partner.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with members of the Executive, Operations and Field teams to assess needs, and identify ways Information Technology can assist the company in achieving business and financial goals. Ensure alignment and appropriate resourcing to then achieve those goals.
- Develop and execute short-and long-range technology roadmaps that align to the Company’s strategic growth objectives.
- Evaluate and identify the Company’s systems and reporting needs, implement updates and enhancements to current systems, and ensure technical issues are resolved efficiently.
- Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with key external IT vendors such as NorthStar (ERP), Enterfusion (outsourced IT support) and AWS.
- Analyze technology infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Ensure the integrity and reliability of information and communication systems, including the security of data acquired, processed, and stored. Evaluate the company’s adherence to regulatory and industrywide cyber and data security standards.
- Ensure internal and vendor compliance with security protocols and oversight of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Lead training programs to ensure operations and corporate office staff understand systems’ capabilities and features and comply with operating guidelines.
- Establish efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvements of technology infrastructure.
- Facilitate system and network security audits and/or investigations.
- Hire, train, and manage a customer-focused technology staff; set clear priorities and lead a culture of continuous improvement.
- Schedule, organize, and assign projects to internal team and external partners.
- Oversee technology contract and purchase negotiations.
- Manage vendor and third-party system upgrade project.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field is required; master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- At least eight years of experience managing a technology department.
- Experience in a growing, multi-site hospitality or retail company strongly preferred; prior golf or club industry experience beneficial.
- Experience overseeing third parties and/or in-house operations that support technology installations at field locations (networks, ERP, etc.)
- Experience implementing data warehouses including knowledge of data analysis tools and solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and education levels.
