The AOE/COE Investigator is responsible for conducting thorough investigations into workers' compensation claims to determine the circumstances surrounding injuries and their relation to employment. This role involves interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence, analyzing data, and preparing detailed reports to support claims decisions.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct investigations to determine if injuries or incidents arose out of and in the course of employment.
  • Interview injured workers, witnesses, employers, and other relevant parties to gather information and statements.
  • Review medical records, employment history, and incident reports to establish timelines and facts related to claims.
  • Collect and analyze evidence, including photographs, videos, and documentation.
  • Assess workplace conditions, safety protocols, and job duties to understand potential contributing factors to incidents.
  • Prepare comprehensive investigative reports outlining findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with legal teams, claims adjusters, and other stakeholders to support claims decisions.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry practices related to workers' compensation investigations.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in investigative roles, preferably in workers' compensation or insurance investigations. Minimum 2 years experience in AOE investigations
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Reliable vehicle, license and registration
  • Must be willing to travel up.  (Includes paid travel time and mileage) 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for conducting interviews and writing reports.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in using investigative tools, databases, and technology.
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations is a plus.
