Summary:A Robotic Operator III has an advanced understanding of the controls and operations of the robot pendent. They will have the ability to efficiently perform fixture changeovers including calling up the proper programs, verify weld locations and quality, and making adjustments to the weld programs as required.   Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility:
  • Closely monitor parts to determine accuracy and quality 
  • Notify material handling or management prior to completing a job allowing for seamless changeovers 
  • Prepares welded parts for paint or other coatings by removing slag and other cosmetic blemishes
  • Work in a safe manner and report unsafe conditions to supervisor 
  • Perform maintenance of robot and fixtures
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
  • Adheres to company quality protocols and processes
  • Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is consistent with the H&S handbook
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
  • Perform duties with safety first quality mind set
 Skills and Abilities:
  • Track use of consumables and report to appropriate person as needed
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Has a good understanding of weld quality and has the ability to adjust welds as required to achieve such welds
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Properly consistently load parts into fixtures to insure proper robot operation and quality parts are being produced
  • Ability to properly start up or shut down the robot cell
  • Experience with Fanuc or Panasonic preferred
  • The ability to use the pendent move the robotic arm to do simple tasks such as change tips, move to next point after a burn back or collision, 
  • Ability to efficiently perform changeovers and insure proper welding is being done by the robot
 Qualifications:
  • At least one year work experience
  • Must meet the skills, abilities, and qualifications for a Welder II
  • Strong math skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Safety minded with a basic understanding of robotics and/or automation
  • Advanced understanding of programs and the ability to modify programs to insure quality parts are being produced    


About H&S Manufacturing Co Inc:

H&S Manufacturing Co. Inc. was founded by Mr. Lauri Heikenen and two partners in 1967. In the years that followed, Mr. Heikenen bought out the original partners and H&S remains a family-owned business. The business was started to manufacture and sell self-unloading forage boxes to farm equipment dealers. The original manufacturing facility was a 50′ x 100’ block building with a very small office located on 5 acres in the then-new Marshfield Industrial Park. Over its history, H&S has experienced steady expansion of facilities, products, and markets. The original 5,000 square foot manufacturing plant has grown to 220,000 square feet on 56 acres in Marshfield and Clintonville, WI, and Ripley, NY. From its beginning, the dairy farm industry has always been H&S’s most important market. In 1968, there were 14 manufacturers making forage boxes for the dairy industry, though today just a handful exist. In 1968 H&S was the newest manufacturer of that group, while today H&S offers forage boxes up to 40′ in length. Manure spreaders are another major product H&S supplies to the dairy industry, and H&S manure spreaders have become a dominant player in this market as well. Indeed H&S manure spreaders are used on dairy farms as far away as Korea and Japan. In 1988, H&S chose to enter the large hay rake market. In the years since, H&S has become not only the largest player in that market, but also the design leader, with six patents granted by the U.S. government for new designs of bi-fold and high-capacity rakes. H&S rakes manufactured today range in size from 8 to 22 wheel. The rake business has significantly increased H&S’s presence in ag-markets beyond the dairy industry. For the future, H&S is leading the pack in two developing agricultural technologies, wrapping high-moisture baleage, and crop merging in front of high-capacity, self-propelled choppers. With its demonstrated ability to increase sales in shrinking markets, H&S is confident of its ability to lead in these new, growing markets.
