Summary:

A Robotic Operator III is highly skilled in managing the controls and operations of a robot pendent. They excel in performing fixture changeovers, verifying weld quality, and adjusting weld programs when necessary.

Principle Duties and Areas of Responsibility:

  • Monitor parts closely to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Coordinate with material handling for smooth changeovers
  • Prepare welded parts for finishing by addressing cosmetic imperfections
  • Maintain a safe work environment and report any hazards
  • Conduct robot and fixture maintenance
  • Keep work area clean and follow safety procedures
  • Adhere to company quality standards
  • Execute job duties ethically and professionally
  • Perform tasks with a focus on safety and quality

Skills and Abilities:

  • Track consumable usage and report as needed
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Adjust welds to maintain quality standards
  • Demonstrate adaptability and enthusiasm for changing priorities
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ensure proper loading of parts for efficient robot operation
  • Start up and shut down robot cell correctly
  • Experience with Fanuc or Panasonic is a plus
  • Operate robotic arm using the pendent for various tasks
  • Efficiently perform changeovers to maintain welding quality

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year work experience
  • Meet requirements for a Welder II
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Detail-oriented with safety awareness
  • Basic understanding of robotics and automation
  • Advanced knowledge of programs for producing quality parts
