Previous work as a paraprofessional or special needs clinician, babysitting/nannying, preschool and school work, or align well with our goals and mission. Skills learned in this field can enhance your overall ability to work with children in a variety of settings. As a behavior technician, you will be working as a paraprofessional and behavior therapist in the field of behavior analysis. You will collaborate with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide ABA services to children in a clinical setting. You will be responsible for teaching and documenting a variety of skills under the direction of the BCBA. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with families and support them while they watch their children flourish and gain new skills and experiences.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clean background check
- Current RBT credential or willing to obtain once hired
- Fluent in English and Spanish is preferred but not required
- Skill with iPads and technology
- Ability to interact well with children
- Proficient writing and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Must demonstrate flexibility and creativity as time management skills
- Ability to work well independently and with others
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time (30 minutes or more)
- Ability to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time

About Swann Clinic for Behavioral Health:
Swann Clinic for Behavioral Health is a multidisciplinary clinic for children with various ability levels. This means we deliver applied behavioral analysis therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and individual mental health counseling to neurodiverse children ages 1-7. Our learners engage in crafts, circle time, quiet time, group lunches, music and movement, and other special activities together. Swann Clinic is a Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE). This means we meets the highest standards of care in the nation. We are a neurodiverse and female-owned business focusing on empowerment of our team and learners. We have bi-weekly trainings to better hone our skills and teach our team valuable lessons about ABA and other disciplines. Our clinic is open 8-4, Monday through Friday. No weekends are required. Work outside of work hours is highly discouraged. We have the week of the 4th of July and Christmas off. Memorial day and Labor day are also days off. MLK, Juneteenth, and Native American Heritage Day are paid days off.
