Treatment options include physical therapy, medications, and surgery. Surgery may be outpatient, minimally invasive, or major, depending on your needs and preference.
As a medical assistant, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in the examination and treatment of patients with virtual and on-site appointments. You will also be responsible for delivering quality patient care and performing other clinical and clerical duties within the practice.
Work Schedule:
- This is a full-time Monday to Friday-position (8am to 4:30pm).
- Will be required to work at satellite locations in Smyrna, Delaware, and Concord, Pennsylvania. Travel to the satellites will be based on quarterly provider assignments.
Urogynecology | ChristianaCare
Duties / Responsibilities:As a medical assistant you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point-of-care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or holds current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
