Position Overview:
  • The Omakase servers are the technical mastermind that keeps a station running smoothly.
  • This requires a person to be very organized and great at prioritizing, and managing all guest requests, while still being able to direct the services of the runners and bussers.
  • As a Omakase Server, you help set the standards by which our restaurant is judged in your appearance, your disposition, and your attitude towards the guest and attend to the guest in the Omakase bar.
  • You are always in full view of the guest. You only get one opportunity to make a first impression.
  • Good communication skills are a must. Your working relationship with the entire staff is vital to the operation of the restaurant. 
  • ou must be able to anticipate guest needs, as well as communicate those needs to your team. Many times, you will be asked to take care of the problem yourself.
  • A good omakase server needs to have a positive attitude at all times and be able to maintain that attitude in any situation. Our goal is to be busy. When our restaurant is busy, we all make money. Being busy is not an excuse to not be friendly or forget to smile and acknowledge the guests
  • Omakase servers have a high understanding of the technical interrelationship between sushi chef and dining room, food delivery etiquette, and dining room traffic patterns as well as a strong understanding of our cycle of service.
  • Servers are accountable for all technical aspects of service.

  • Experience working in an upscale, fast-paced, and high-energy atmosphere.
  • Enjoy being detail-oriented and have excellent time management skills.
  • Able to take constructive criticism, quick-witted, and have the desire to strive for excellence constantly.
  • Prior experience in Japanese restaurants.
