Leasing Agent/Recertification Specialist

Rochester’s Cornerstone Group is seeking to hire an Affordable Housing Leasing Agent/Recertification Specialist in the Buffalo region.

Salary: $18-24.00 / hour based on experience.

You will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Leasing units.
• Recertification of all unit files.
• Providing exceptional customer service to residents.
• Managing communications with residents regarding rent and past-due balances.
• Collecting rent.
• Preparing reports.
• Maintaining accurate records and resident files.
• Processing move-out paperwork and security deposits.
• Showing and leasing apartments to prospective residents.
• Processing, approving/denying rental applications.
• Conducting new resident orientation to property including rules and regulations.
• Performing move-in and move-out inspections with residents.
• Maintaining a professional office atmosphere.
• Inspecting property and monitoring apartment inspections.
• Maintaining an accurate waiting list.
• Obtaining third-party verifications.
• Hires and supervises site staff.
• Communicating professionally, respectfully, and collaboratively.
• Working professionally and cooperatively with the team.
• Models leadership and leads by example.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior relevant experience in affordable housing.
• Complete knowledge of all phases of leasing and resident retention.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization, time management, conflict resolution, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency with knowledge of OneSite or similar management software.
• Reliable transportation.
• Possession and required use of personal cell phone.
