  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end accounting close.
  • Assist in discerning and recording financial transactions.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit workpapers.
  • Maintain general ledger and related accounts, processing adjustments as needed.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of payroll.
  • Maintain Lifeways’ fixed asset, inventory, and depreciation records.
  • Assist in reviewing bank reconciliations, general ledger accounts, accounts payables, and grant expenditures.
  • Assist in reviewing cash receipts, accounts receivables, and grant receivables.
  • Maintain loan records.
  • Assist in annual filing of Forms W-2, 1099 and 1096.
  • Maintain precise records and workpapers.
  • Correspond with vendors, customers, governmental entities, and staff members.

Required:
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Two to three years’ accounting experience, preferably with a non-profit agency, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Covid-19 vaccine or exception (medical or religious).
Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
