Resources for Human Development's Mainstay Western PA and Community Passages programs are open and hiring a Full-Time Clinician. The Clinician will design and direct the implementation of individualized behavioral treatment plans, goals, and methods of intervention made in conjunction with the family and other team members. Provides supervision to support staff, consults with family members, and clinical team to implement on-going behavioral interventions.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Acts as part of a multidisciplinary team designed to provide services from a holistic, trauma-informed, clinical, and values-based perspective. 
  •  Leads the team of multi-discipline professionals in the development and recertification of treatment plans, ISPs, goal setting, and overall treatment objectives for each client on caseload.
  • Responsible for organizing the input from therapists, case managers, funder assigned advocate, program specialists, behavior specialists, direct support staff, program management, medical assessments, psychological assessments, and any other input into a treatment plan with measurable goals, objectives, and outcomes.
  • Provides support to program management in assessing crisis intervention when needed from a trauma-informed perspective.
  • Conducts screening and assessments using validated screening tools to assess for depression, trauma, substance use, and risk/needs associated with criminal risk.
  • Completes all assessments and documentation as required by RHD and others to support current and ongoing services. 
  • Participates in quality improvement and training activities for the purpose of compliance and program excellence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience
  • Two years of experience required. 
  • Working knowledge of individuals diagnosed with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (preferred).

Required Education
  • Master's Degree
  • Master's of Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Health and Human services or equivalent.

Required QualificationsClinical Mental Health Licensure preferred but not required. 

Program SummaryMainstay Western PA (WEPA) is a supervised community-based residential program designed to provide a range of established and innovative rehabilitation strategies for adults with Intellectual/ developmental disabilities, mental illness, and problematic sexual behaviors. The program focuses on community and personal safety, accountability, competence, least restrictive alternative, normalization, due process, and control.

Community Passages is a community-based residential program designed to provide a homelike environment for individuals with developmental disabilities and dual diagnoses, many of whom present significantly challenging behaviors and most of whom previously resided at state centers and hospitals. Residents develop life skills, increase their self-esteem, and are empowered to make choices for themselves. Person-centered planning, self-determination, and personalization foster individualized programs in an open and safe environment encouraging consumer empowerment and personal growth.
