Responsibilities:
- As a Patient Care Nursing Assistant (PCNA), you'll deliver direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
- This role demands flexibility and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- PCNAs are responsible for monitoring patient health, assisting with housekeeping in patient rooms, and reporting findings promptly.
- Work closely with experienced nurses and physicians who are dedicated to mentoring and welcoming new team members.
- Primary duties include collecting vital signs, changing wound dressings, reporting abnormalities, and assisting with personal care.
Desired Qualities:
- Empathetic with excellent communication skills.
- Adaptable and energetic, capable of critical thinking and problem-solving for the benefit of patients.
- Ready to grow and learn new skills in a dynamic healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in applied mathematics and reading comprehension at an 8th-grade level.
- Nursing students who have completed at least one clinical rotation may substitute it for required experience.
- Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W), or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
