RN/Nurse Manager

- Manage the daily operations of the surgery center, which includes overseeing staffing, scheduling, and the allocation of resources.
- Supervise the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care by clinical staff.
- Ensure practices are in compliance with established clinical guidelines, standards, and safety protocols.
- Respond to and provide directions to patients, physicians, staff, and visitors in a professional manner in all situations, including crises and emergency situations.
- Address and resolve patient concerns or complaints in a timely manner.
- Serve as a liaison between the nursing/clinical department and other departments within the organization
- Provide updates and reports on unit operations to senior management.
- Report and address any incidents or concerns that may affect the safety or quality of care.
- Ensure that adequate clinical resources, equipment, and supplies are available.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards (e.g., AAAHC, OSHA, HIPPA), and ASC policies.
- Manages Risk Management activities, including Peer Review processes, incident reporting, and investigation.
- Performs root cause analysis on adverse events in conjunction with the leadership team as needed.
- Ensures medication safety standards are met.
- Ensures all center deadlines are met for all facility operations and functions
- Maintains facility reporting data as appropriate.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the clinical staff to ensure effective delivery of care.
- Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating the performance of clinical staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans for staff.
- Foster a positive work environment to enhance staff engagement and retention.
- Establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships across the organization.
- Ensures appropriate patient emergency readiness, including safe staffing patterns and management of training, equipment, and supplies to support an effective response.
- Performs other duties as needed to ensure the safety of all patients as well as the efficient operation of the facility.
Education/Licensure/CertificationCurrent and active, unencumbered Registered Nursing License in the state of Georgia.
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center or outpatient surgical setting preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of ASC operations, CMS, regulatory requirements, and patient care protocols.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in quality improvement processes and performance management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
