Cook or Grill Cook - Weekdays and Weeknights - Fast Start

SGA Lists, LLC is a hospitality-focused staffing group based in Saratoga Springs, NY. We are seeking Cooks and Grill Cooks to join our team in Troy, NY, and help support our clients by providing excellent service to guests. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an enthusiastic attitude towards serving guests and co-workers.

Job Description:
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to the highest quality standards. You must be able to follow recipes accurately and at times may need to help with prepping and pulling stock.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes (big batch cooking), following recipes and instructions, while adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ingredient Management: Ensure the proper storage, handling, and freshness of all ingredients to minimize food waste and maintain quality.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Kitchen Organization: Keep the kitchen area clean, organized, and well-stocked, including proper maintenance of kitchen equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a harmonious and productive work environment.
  • Adherence to Regulations: Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Cook or similar role in a restaurant or culinary setting.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A culinary school diploma or certificate is a plus but not required.
