SGA Lists, LLC is a hospitality-focused staffing group based in Saratoga Springs, NY. We are seeking FSW workers, and grill cooks to join our team in Albany, NY, and help support our clients by providing excellent service to guests. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an enthusiastic attitude towards serving guests and co-workers. This position begins January 17th.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items on the grill, ensuring high-quality and flavorful dishes.
  • Operate kitchen equipment and appliances safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Assist with food preparation, including chopping, cutting, and assembling ingredients.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a grill cook or in a similar food service role.
  • Knowledge of grill cooking techniques and a variety of cuisines.
  • Ability to handle kitchen equipment and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

FSW Job Overview:

  • Restock supplies, ingredients, and utensils as needed to ensure smooth service.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of serving stations, buffets, and dining areas.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, including processing payments and providing change.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a cohesive and cooperative work environment.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including uniform and grooming standards.
  • Adhere to established opening and closing procedures, ensuring the establishment is ready for business.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on food safety practices.
  • Adapt to varying work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required.

Grill Cook Job Overview:
Grill cooks are responsible for preparing and grilling foods, and they’re often required to handle tasks in other areas of the kitchen in addition to their grill stations. Additional grill cook job duties and responsibilities include:
  • Keeping track of meal prep components to ensure timely completion of final dishes.
  • Chopping and preparing vegetables and other non-meat ingredients.
  • Stocking ingredients and kitchen supplies.
  • Maintaining clean and sanitized workstations.
  • Checking perishable ingredients and food items for freshness.
  • Taking daily measures to prevent food cross-contamination.
  • Assist kitchen teams with prepping, organizing, gathering, and setting up everything required to prepare a dish, or multiple dishes in large quantities.
  • Collaborate within various sections of a bustling kitchen.
  • Maintain impeccable kitchen hygiene standards.
