We are seeking a dynamic Sensory Motor/Cognitive Coach to lead and drive each student through our program. This part-time position requires a motivated individual who will guide and assist children through various activities that will stimulate one of the two specific hemispheres of the brain. Our unique Brain Balance program deals directly with children who have disabilities such as ADHD, Asperger's, Dyslexia, and Processing Disorders. This is an ideal and rewarding position for those who enjoy working with children and who relish watching children succeed.

Requirements, Skills, and Experience:

• Experience doing physical activities with school-aged children is a plus.
• Training in PT, OT, Sports Science, or Kinesiology is a plus.
• Exercise Physiology or related field is a plus.
• Team player.
• Outgoing and confident personality.
• Ability to take initiative.
• Excellent customer service mindset.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• The ability to multi-task while working with school-aged children.
• Creative.
• Patient and kind towards children with challenges.

Candidates with experience in the following fields are preferred (but not required):

• Physiotherapy.
• Occupational therapy.
• Exercise/Sports Physiology.
• Early Childhood Development.
• Physical Education.
• Education.
• Healthcare.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sensory Motor Coach is responsible to move 1-4 children through a specialized activity circuit in half-hour increments- The coach must keep data on every child in each activity- The coach must employ behavior management techniques, assess new and outgoing students, be computer/IPAD literate, and have an excellent customer service mindset. Must be able to design lesson plans and develop individual student goals.

HOURS & SCHEDULING:
This is a part-time position, Monday/Wednesday/Friday mainly from 3 PM to 7 PM. Must have a flexible schedule/availability.

Job Type: Part-time.

Pay: $12-15.00 per hour.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday.
• Weekend availability.

Experience: Childcare: 2 years. (Preferred)

License/Certification: Driver's License. (Preferred)

Work Location:  Brain Balance Center in Allen.
