POSITION STRUCTURE AND DETAILS:The Chaska NXT Intern will plan and oversee a variety of activities for 6th-12th grade students and parent communication. The Intern will learn how student ministry functions administratively and spiritually. The Chaska NXT Intern will be responsible for the following:
- Coordinate parent communication strategy.
- Disciple NXT worship team in their relationship with Jesus.
- Co-lead & help develop the NXT Chaska outreach team by training & raising up leaders.
- Support logistics, setup, and prep for NXT ministry events (slide creation, tech, game, etc.).
- Teach once a semester as assigned for our Junior High or Senior High ministry.
- Be involved in Grace Chaska and NXT services on the administrative and discipleship side.
- Lead and disciple a small group of NXT students.
- Assist with the logistics of Wednesday night, such as coordinating food delivery, writing small group questions, and planning games.
- Provide feedback and support for Chaska NXT students, particularly in the areas of discipleship.
- Learn and practice teaching techniques from the stage by serving as a member of the rotational teaching team.
- Attend retreats and conferences as requested.
- Build weekly Pro-Presenter slides for NXT Chaska youth & Grace Chaska Sunday services.
- Send weekly parent emails and any necessary follow-up communication.
- Attend scheduled meetings.
- Read, discuss, and participate in required learning assignments with a supervisor.
PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS:
- Exhibit a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
- Have a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
- Demonstrate a spiritual capacity and heart willingness to view this ministry as being a ministry unto the Lord, by serving the body of Grace Church.
- Timely and disciplined.
- Collaborate and support other Chaska NXT Gen needs, Chaska Campus needs, and EP teams as needed.
- Live a life of spiritual discipline as well as a lifestyle above reproach. Spiritual character and spiritual discipline are crucial for leadership in our ministry.
- A solid foundation for Christian living is built on these building blocks: Bible Study, Prayer, Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship, and Fellowship.
