Position Description Summary:
  • Reports to Facilities Director.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all members and guests while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Communicates respectfully and clearly with management, staff, members and guests.
  • Maintains Club landscaping including parking lots.
  • Maintains clubhouse facility and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist Facilities Director in implementing club policies, goals, operating procedures and standards.
  • Plants and maintains ornamental shrubs and trees.
  • Trims and feeds shrubs and trees; removes cuttings.
  • Maintains landscape beds around clubhouse and club grounds.
  • Rakes and blows leaves.
  • Prepares and lays sod.
  • Prepares soil plant beds, and establishes plantings by seed or transplants.
  • Loads and unloads materials.
  • Maintains equipment.
  • Empty garbage cans.
  • Attends staff meetings.
  • Maintains a high level of personal service extended to members and guests.
  • Uses proper etiquette when greeting members, guests and employees in person.
  • Reports immediately to Facility Director any hazardous situation, maintenance issue, injuries and illnesses or other areas of concern.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including  but not limited to assisting other areas in the facilities department when positions are vacant or personnel are on vacation.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds and perform strenuous work lifting, pushing pulling, bending, stooping and climbing.
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position.
  • Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling. 
  • Frequent repetitive motions. 
  • Continuous standing and walking.
  • May need to use some protective equipment, such as a respirator, gloves, earplugs, eye guards/visors, boots and hat.

Education and Training, Qualifications and Other Requirements:
  • Some high school experience required.
  • General knowledge of power tools.
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.

Job Details:
  • Pay Rate: $17 per hour.
  • Full-time, Non-exempt.
