Job Posting for Field Service Technician (Apprentice)

A Full-time Entry Level Field Service Technician Apprentice position is immediately available with on-the-job training for the right candidate. 

The ideal candidate is team-oriented, customer service focused and adapts to overcome challenges.  We need someone with a high level of email communication skill who’s strong on daily follow through of self-tasks.  Someone who can follow instructions thoroughly and who also isn’t afraid to ask questions. 

The position demands a high level of competency for on-site productivity and communications throughout installation/maintenance projects. Multi day remote water conservation surveys, flow control device installations or re-occurring maintenance at existing customers, and materials management will be required. 

Job/Project Responsibilities:
  • Performs installation and maintenance services alongside team of technicians
  •  Assists with startup and closeout of projects.
  • Follows all hospital rules of etiquette, health, and safety.
  • Organizes and maintains tools, equipment, and material.
  •  Understands the ins and outs of recording details of the project in the WSS FixtureCare App.
  • Communicates red flags and concerns to the team.
  • Adapts to project variations as needed.
  • Assists in keeping record of materials including inventory and prepared materials with communication to appropriate project manager.
  •  Delivers updated personal medical records to office manager, as needed, to comply with badging requirements for working within hospitals.
  •  Available to work flexible hours including some Saturdays and evenings (major holidays off).

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Mechanical aptitude and adaptable to changing conditions.
  •  Willingness to work with hands and basic plumbing tools.
  • Effective written email and verbal communication.
  •  Working knowledge of computer and device applications with an emphasis on Excel and Outlook Email.
  •  Physically fit to walk for long periods when carrying loads up to 40 lbs. while bending or stooping.
  •  Occasional travel and overnight stays are a regular part of the job.
  •  Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
  •  Clear background check and drug screening.
  • Immunizations required to work in healthcare facilities.

Compensation:
  • Starting wage rate $20 per hour
