Work Environment:Work environments vary by industry and establishment size; some inspectors examine similar products for an entire shift, others examine a variety of items.Must be able to stand, bend, and lift at least 30 lbs. for the entire duration of your shift.
LOCATION: Georgetown, KY
PAY RATE:1st Shift: 6 am to 3 pm Monday-Saturday, pay $16.00 per hour (Flexibility with shift times is preferred) 2nd shift is 5 pm until 2 am Sunday -Saturday Pay is $16.50Paid weekly. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK FULL SHIFTBackground checks are performed upon hiring
Quality Control Inspectors typically do the following:Read blueprints and specifications (work instructions) Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standardsRecommend adjustments to the assembly or production processInspect, test, or measure materials or products being producedMeasure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometersOperate electronic inspection equipment and softwareAccept or reject finished itemsRemove all products and materials that fail to meet specificationsReport inspection and test data such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quantities inspected
RequirementsExcellent oral and written communication skillsQuality control analysisActive listening/ability to follow instructionsDetail Oriented/Monitoring skillsProblem solving/Troubleshooting skillsJudgment and decision makingComfortable receiving ongoing performance feedback and coachingComfortable with ongoing change and learning new technology/processesHas a dependable team-player attitude with an understanding that as the demand change your work hours may varyVisually able to determine color, shape, and size of a partAbility to lift up to 30 poundsAbility to stand for up to 8 hours plusHave a positive attitudeBe able to travel to different job sites within a 10 mile radius of 40069 to help meet production deadlines at other facilities, if needed.
Education & Experience Required:High School DiplomaQuality Control experience would be a plus preferred1-year experience in the automotive industry1-year experience with quality inspection experience preferredFamiliarity with manufacturing facilities
