The Tableau Application Administrator will administer a classified Tableau Application environment and develop Tableau content and reporting for the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge Tennessee. This position will work with cross-functional departments to scope, design and deploy Tableau content in alignment with customer requirements and CNS/NNSA/DOE mission objectives, while maintaining Tableau Application functionality in accordance with industry administrative best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshooting Tableau Server Independent Gateway: Assist with the set up and configuration of TSIG.
  • Server Configuration: Assist in modifying Tableau Server on hardware or cloud platforms.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize server performance through monitoring and adjustments to configurations as needed.
  • User Management: Assist with the management of user accounts, groups, permissions, and access controls.
  • Data Source Management: Help in connecting, managing, and optimizing data sources and extracts.
  • Content Management: Assist in organizing and managing dashboards, reports, and data sources within Tableau Server.
  • Security Administration: Implement security protocols, manage SSL certifications, and ensure compliance with data governance standards.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Establish and maintain backup procedures, disaster recovery plans, and server redundancy.
  • Upgrades and Patches: Manage and implement Tableau Server upgrades and patches to ensure the system is up-to-date and secure.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Our engagement will include providing your appropriate stakeholders with on-the-job training in order to upskill and gain proficiency in Tableau data engineering and report configuration best practices.

Preferred Job Requirements:
  • 3+ years of Tableau Server Application Administration experience including (but not limited to):
  • Set up and configuration of Tableau Independent Server Gateway (TSIG)
  • Performance tuning
  • Security and user management
  • Upgrades and patches
  • Backups and recovery

Location: Y-12 Site at Oak Ridge TN (Non-local consultants will travel and work Mon-Thu each week)

Period of Performance: Immediate through Sept 30, 2024 with possible extensions
