Assistant Group Supervisor

Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher with planning and implementing daily lesson plans and activities.
- Help create a safe and stimulating classroom environment for children.
- Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines.
- Provide individual and group support to children as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress.
Required Qualification:
- 2500 hours (two years) of experience.
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
- Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs., see, hear & sit on the floor with children.
- Must be able to pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
- To be 18 years or older and legally able to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A CDA or 15 college credits in early childhood education or a related field.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility in scheduling is a plus.
This is a full-time position. For candidates with minimal experience, pay starts at $15.50. For candidates with a non-related degree and multiple years of experience, starting pay may be up to $17.50 per hour (based on education & experience), with an increase after completing your first 90 days. Bright Light Academy is open five days a week, but staff works a four-day workweek. Staff benefits include PTO, sick pay, reduced child care & more.
