Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Bilingual Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, possess excellent clinical skills, and demonstrate a commitment to providing culturally sensitive and patient-centered care. As a Bilingual RN, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to our diverse patient population.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families in both English and Spanish, addressing their healthcare needs, concerns, and questions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that meet the individualized needs of patients.
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition, taking appropriate action as needed to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and comprehensively in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, medication instructions, and self-care techniques, fostering patient empowerment and adherence to treatment plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety measures to enhance the delivery of healthcare services and promote positive patient outcomes.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice, maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting cultural beliefs and preferences.
- Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected and advocating for their needs within the healthcare system.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current unrestricted RN license in the state of Florida.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- CPR certification.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound nursing judgments and decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare technology.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in nursing practice and cultural competency.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based nursing care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in a specialty area of nursing practice, such as medical-surgical, pediatrics, or community health.
- Experience working with underserved or immigrant populations.
- Additional language proficiency beyond English and Spanish
- Experience with interpretation and translation services in a healthcare setting.
