Bright Light Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced teacher to join our one-year-olds' teaching team.
About the RoleWe are looking for a qualified teacher who has at least two years of experience working with young children, preferably between the ages of one and three years old. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a passion for early learning and a commitment to creating a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with other toddler teachers to plan and implement daily lesson plans and activities.
- Help create a safe and engaging classroom environment for one-year-olds.
- Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines.
- Provide individual and group support to children as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress.
- Complete child assessments and participate in parent/teacher conferences.
- Two+ years experience working with young children, preferably toddlers.
- Must qualify as an Assistant Group Supervisor or Group Supervisor with DHS.
- Pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
- Be 18 years or older and able to work in the United States.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Be able to lift up to 40lbs, see, hear, and sit on the floor with children.
- Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment.
- A CDA or higher in Early Childhood Education, Children and Families, or Child Development are preferred.
- This is a full-time, year-round position.
- Pay range starts at $16.50 up to $18.00 (relative to experience and education - higher for degreed teacher) per hour with a pay increase based on performance and education at the end of a 90-day probation period.
- Full-time staff also receive paid holidays, PTO, sick-time, dental or vision insurance, reduced child care, and more.
- Full-time staff work a four-day work week.
