Responsibilities:

  • Manage subcontract lifecycle activities, including acquisition strategy, sourcing, solicitation, negotiation, award, cost, and schedule oversight.
  • Develop and manage subcontract requirements, statements of work (SOWs), and perform cost, schedule, and risk management for subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR/DFAR and lead government proposals, subcontract negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Support new business development efforts, including nondisclosure and teaming agreements, and assist with technical and financial due diligence on potential suppliers.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, and quality teams to maintain subcontract alignment with program goals and execute risk management strategies.
Skills/Qualifications:

  • Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of experience. (In lieu of a degree, 13+ years of related experience)

  • Minimum 5 years in aerospace/defense industry.

  • Advanced knowledge of FAR/DFAR, contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF), and subcontractor management.

  • Proficiency in subcontracting processes and documentation, cost/benefit analysis, and SOW development.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Preferred:

  • DoD Clearance.

  • Lean Six Sigma experience.

  • Other Requirements: Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
