Kitchen and Bath Designer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide GREAT customer service.
- Greet and assist customers promptly and professionally when they enter the showroom.
- Answer the phone promptly and professionally.
- Understand/ interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Work closely with clients to design kitchens and bathrooms.
- Ability to do accurate job site measurements and in home consultations.
- Process all estimates, orders, and invoices in a correct and timely fashion.
- Manage the entire design process and communicate regularly with the customer throughout.
- Coordinate any stock material needs or special orders with the appropriate buyers/vendors.
- Provide complete and accurate paperwork for ordering and receiving special orders.
- Limit errors on orders by double-checking and confirming everything.
- Communicate clearly with the dispatcher and provide complete and correct paperwork for all deliveries, will calls, and credit pickups.
- Follow company policies on getting deposits for orders.
- Keeping a system that can be followed in your absence with your fellow designers.
- Treat coworkers professionally.
- Get confirmations on special orders and ensure the correct product is ordered.
- Keep current on all daily reports.
- Continue expanding product knowledge of kitchen and bath products.
- Stay up to date on industry design trends.
- Give input on the development of new items and/or vendors.
- Follow through with addressing any returns or problem orders promptly and accurately.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sit/stand for 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to push/pull 50 lbs.
- Horizontal reaching is required.
- All mobility motions are required (standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing).
- Limited range of motion and physical activity occurring randomly for 8 or more hours per day.
